Dreams and Actions.
Dreams filled with action are frequently symbolic. Many of these symbols are directly connected to popular phrases and sayings which the subconscious translates into its own language.
Take cleaning, for example – we might say ‘I’m going to make a clean start’ , or refer to a successful business as ‘cleaning up’ , meaning it is making a lot of money easily and quickly. Clean also means completely, as in ‘I clean forgot’. Once you start to look for parallels you will soon be able to spot all kinds of double or even triple, meanings in your dreams.
There are two further major kinds of action dream:
1) literal dreams
2) action-replay dreams.
Literal dreams are completely free from symbolism or imagination, for they represent a straightforward message from the subconscious. These messages attempt to bring something to your attention in the moist obvious possible way, and often focus on something you have forgotten or overlooked. They can also present problem-solving solutions, suggest new ways of doing things or give you creative ideas. Sometimes they are a kind of wish-fulfilment – a dream trying to come true, if only in fantasy.
Other action dreams seem to be identical replays of situations you have already lived through. These dreams are trying to help you come to terms with an event in the past which you may have misinterpreted. By dreaming of your actions, your mind is giving you an opportunity to set the memory records straight – and fully understand a situation. At one time scientists believed all our dreams were a way of filing information in the memory banks , but have now realized that dreams are much more complex and mysterious than that.

Arresting.
This is a classic example of a dream which means its opposite: freedom of action and behaviour.
Bathing.
Actually getting into a bath or a pool of water of any kind, as opposed to looking at it,
Shows that you are a person who like to get involved in situations rather than observing them from afar; the water, though, may be much deeper than it looks, so you should take care and assess its depth before you leap in.

Breaking Something.
Breaking plates in a dream is a token of great material wellbeing, and breaking cups or glasses indicates generosity and enthusiasm. Breaking any other household object shows a private life which is difficult and full of frustrations and disappointments, mainly due to the fact that a close relationship is being harmed by major upheavals.

Carrying.
Carrying news heralds the fact that a problem which has been troubling you for a long time is about to be solved, while carrying gifts is a warning to you to take care in business matters. Carrying a letter is a symbol of secrets which need to be kept. Carrying a heavy bag in a dream represents a burden you are bearing for someone else’s sake. Carrying another person on you shoulders shows that you have a strong personality which others feel they can rely on.

Cleaning.
Dreaming about cleaning vegetables suggests petty arguments within your family. Cleaning or washing clothes means excessive extravagance, while cleaning or polishing shoes means an aggressive exchange with a friend. Dreaming about digging a ditch means you need something new and different to happen in your life, while digging a hole symbolizes debts to be repaid as soon a s possible. Digging a well indicates differences with members of your family. If you are involved in digging for some kind of precious metal or stones, you are subconsciously aware that there is hostility towards you at work.

If you dream of someone else doing the driving, then your dream has hopeful implications, but if you are driving a car or other vehicle, it may mean that you will lose or spend unnecessarily , a large amount of money. To dream of lingering in conversation when you should be doing something else can have various meanings. If you are talking to men, the dream signifies a happy relationship, and if to women, you can expect at least one new friendship in the near future. If you are lingering in conversation with friends, it can indicate either recent heated, but friendly, discussion, or violent arguments. Lingering in conversation in a pub indicates a lack of loyalty to someone.

Patrolling a forest means exciting events are on the way.

A raid by thieves or bandits in a dream shows a confused and uncertain emotional relationship: you need to sort things out in this area or you will lose the love and respect of the person you love. If you are raided by the police in your dream, you have some minor personal problems at the moment, but if you manage to avoid arrest, a piece of work you are involved in will end happily.
